ECPR was on hand for Rev. Jesse Jackson’s 66th Birthday Gala in conjunction with Rainbow PUSH’s 10th Annual Awards ceremony Thursday Nov. 8th at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. Honorees included Harry Belafonte, Larry King, Judge Greg Mathis and Respect Me Coalition. Hosted by Niecy Nash, other noted celebrities in attendance included Anna Marie Horsford, Holly Robinson Peete, Clifton Powell, Vincent M. Ward, Don Cornelius, Clarence Avant, Berry Gordy, Lamann Rucker, Shirley Caesar, Gloria Allred, the Honorable Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and a special appearance by superstar Michael Jackson. One of the memorable moments was Michael Jackson leading the crowd into the Stevie Wonder rendition of ” Happy Birthday” to Rev. Jesse Jackson while well-wishers stood to their feet from their dinner table.
